Swapna Bhatkar was passionate about art since childhood and have won
many prizes in painting and design competition at school and college
level. She decided to pursue her career in Architecture and completed
her Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1997 from Mumbai University.
In her professional career of 12 yrs she had great opportunity to work
with some of the renowned architect like Pheroz Kudianwala, P. G. Patki
and Prakash Mankar and have acquired designing and detailing expertise
in hospitality and healthcare industry. Some of the projects in
hospitality include Hyatt Regency at Kathmandu, Grand Maratha Sheraton
at Mumbai, Country Inn & Suites at Jaipur, Radha Park Inn at Chennai,
Hotel Golkonda at Hyderabad, VVT Hotels at Chennai and Sheesh Mahal,
restaurant at Bangalore. Health care projects include Asian Heart
Institute, Saifee Hospital in Mumbai and 10 beds ICCU at Ratnagiri. To
explore her potential in other sectors she has also design projects like
Timex showroom, studios for STAR and Pinch Harmonics and an Architect’s
office in Bangalore.
With her personal time which she shares with her husband and a cute son
Kavin; Swapna is a Bharatnatyam dancer, likes to travel, love
photography, watches theatre and reads fiction novels.
